Interview with Beauty and the Greek
Maybe you have seen them before at such events like the WLOY Late Night Concert or Relay for Life but most people saw them this past Sunday at Loyolapalooza. Seniors John Herbster and Maria Dontas have been performing as Beauty and the Greek since their freshman year.

Interview with Andrew McMahon of Jack’s Mannequin
Many of you turned out last Sunday to see Jack’s Mannequin headline Loyolapalooza. The Greyhound and WLOY were fortunate enough to sit down with Andrew McMahon before the show to talk about music, life, and the newest album. The relaxed atmosphere of Sellinger made it seem less like an interview and more like a hangout session.

Project Glass integrates apps into vision: Exciting progress or dangerously intrusive?
No one reading this article can deny America’s fiendish dependence on technology. Cell phones, Internet, GPS devices, iPods and email have become such big parts of our life that living without them is almost unimaginable. My generation is constantly fixated on their iPhones, texting, playing with apps and tweeting incessantly.

Don’t Hookup with the Dude in the Next Cube & other life lessons for postgrad workplace
Don’t Hookup With the Dude in the Next Cube: 200+ Career Secrets for 20-Somethingsby Nancy A. Shenker and Lindsey E. Brown might not look like much when you first pick up the book. You were bombarded by emails from SGA about the event and at one point this week definitely either walked past the table where they were selling shirts or noticed the sign advertising the event.

From hilarious skits to cohesive vocals and melodic arrangements, Chordbusters impress
As I headed over to McManus Theatre on a dark and drizzly Saturday evening, it was quite difficult to get into a peppy mood for Chordbusters. For those Loyola students who haven’t heard of the quintessential Loyola music event, Chordbusters is the annual concert featuring the all-female Belles and the all-male Chimes a capella groups.

Student models shine at ‘Theory,’ showcasing individual fashion sense
Stanley Tucci’s character in The Devil Wears Prada tells Anne Hathaway’s character this about fashion designers: “And what they did, what they created was greater than art because you live your life in it.” Every day, every person gets dressed before leaving to go face whatever challenges the day has for them because fashion is a wearable art.

A Prayer for Owen Meany – Have a Little Faith
I remember getting assigned to read John Irving’s A Prayer for Owen Meany my senior year of high school. Looking at the daunting 400-something pages of the paperback novel, I wondered like most of my peers, if I googled it, would it show up on SparkNotes? The weekly questions on the chapters forced me to read beyond the first couple of pages, and once I began I couldn’t stop.

College Etiquette- A little politeness will go a long way during finals
It's the beginning of finals, which, in addition to the fact that I’m writing this curled up in the fetal position under my desk, also means that many of you are visiting the library for the first time this year.
