Platform for Devin DiCristifo, running for Sophomore Class President
If elected as sophomore class president, there would be a number of things that I would work for. As a member of the freshman assembly, I voted on the new constitution. As president next year I am looking forward to working with the newly formed senate. I think it will be a very valuable asset to have a specific policy making branch of student government. Also, as a member of the assembly I have seen what works well, and can make the move to a more active leadership role. Working with the executive cabinet is something I am eagerly anticipating. I feel like one of the most valuable opportunities that student government presents is working with other people who are as driven and motivated as I perceive myself to be. This year coming back from winter break early and doing team building exercises and conversing about events and activities we wanted to occur in the next semester has been, to date, one of the best experiences of my college career thus far. As well as working with policy and working with other people I am excited about having an impact on social events that occur on campus. I view social events as a great tool to help build community and help the residents of this campus enjoy their time at Loyola and create memories to last a lifetime. Hopefully I can continue having an impact on the school and do the best job I can.
