The band's first EP, "Business" (Doghouse Records 2006), with its playful and classic rock leanings hinted at things to come. Jet Lag Gemini's knack for blending the energy of more abrasive bands with great pop hooks and hair-raising guitar solos, has won them countless fans both locally and nationwide. This culminated in several national tours including dates on the Vans Warped Tour, as well as playing with Hellogoodbye, The Almost, The Matches, Halifax, and others.
Produced by Jon Kaplan (The Starting Line, Lola Ray), "Fire The Cannons" is the perfect marriage of both shimmery pop and rock 'n roll grit, and was released by Doghouse Records on Jan. 22, 2008. Led by Misha's commanding voice, Vlad's unrelenting guitar heroics, and Matt and Dan's driving rhythm, the album packs a powerful punch. I met up with the band while on tour to ask them a few questions about their debut full-length album and life on the road.
Jesse DeFlorio: Currently you're on tour with Zolof The Rock & Roll Destroyer and Kenotia; how has the tour been going so far?
Jet Lag Gemini: It's been a blast so far. We're already good friends with all the bands on the tour, especially with Zolof since this is our second tour together. After covering the Western U.S., we're pumped to hit up all the eastern states with Farewell joining the line up.
