We just love, love, love it when things become the new other things. Orange is the new pink. See, it's one part philosophy and one part Valley. Shallow's the new deep, boys are the new girls, Thumbs Down is the new Thumbs Up. Whoa.

Mean People
Don't you just hate mean people? Of all the things evolution and Al Gore should have put an end to (ugliness, stupidity and unsightly body hair), being mean takes the cake. Mean-ness is just inexplicable and incurable, barring a convenient school bus. If you're afflicted with two of those other three, there's a reality show out there for you. And stupidity? Nah. We love stupid people and embrace them with happy heart hugs into our shiny community of LOVE-ing. Gullible people? We like you too. You read to the end of Thumbs even on this, our very favorite day.
